Tile: Porcelain, Ceramic Flooring

Our showroom displays a wide range of tile selections both in porcelain and ceramic tiles options. Our selections can be used in applications such as floor, wall, backsplashes, countertops and shower enclosures. Some of our tile selections have a Scotchguard® Protector that makes the tile soil and stain repellent. This makes your cleaning easier than ever. Also available are ceramic tiles that have a silver antibacterial protection that guard against mold and mildew.

The primary difference between porcelain and ceramic tile is the density of porcelain tile. Porcelain is a denser product that is more water resistant making it possible to be used in covered exterior applications. Porcelain also offers a color through body, perfect for residential/commercial needs where extreme temperature changes or high foot traffic is a prime consideration. All of our tile selections can be installed by our installation crews with primary care being given to your schedule and other considerations. We strive to give you the best service possible.

While laminate is not ideal for floors below ground level or in the bathroom, any other room in your house - particularly high-traffic areas - would benefit from the beautiful look and amazing durability of laminate.

So, where do you begin? Inspiration can come from almost anywhere; it could come from architecture, fashion or perhaps from your favorite vacation spot. Allow what you love to guide your way. Finding the perfect color is really a matter of looking at the largest areas of color in the room-walls, furniture and cabinetry. One option is to match your floor and wall color. Or, for more visual impact, you could contrast your floors and walls (one light and the other dark). For a more subtle look you can keep colors in the same family, for instance a light beige wall and a rich brown floor tile. Shade variation can also dramatically impact the overall appearance of your installation. Shade variation is the amount of color and tonal change within each tile and between multiple tiles. Let your imagination run wild and change the environment that you live in.

This is one application of tile used in Spain. You can create almost any dream you have using a variety of tile selections.

Types of tile
Glazed floor, wall and Mosaic tile
These are coated with glass-forming minerals and ceramic stains. Glazed ceramic tile can achieve the look of natural stone, marble and slate without the expense. These are intended for indoor applications.

Glazed Porcelain tile
Glazed porcelain is similar to glazed ceramic tile in its surface. The difference is its porcelain body and less than .5% water absorption, which makes it better suited for exterior applications that are covered.

ColorBody Porcelain tile
This is the densest of all tile types. ColorBody porcelain tile has a color-through body with less than .5% water absorption. This tile can withstand extreme temperature changes, heavy foot traffic and can be used for either indoor or outdoor applications These tiles are thicker than ceramic tiles.

Laminate flooring
This isn't your mother's linoleum. Laminate flooring has advanced to the point where you can have a low-maintenance, stain-resistant floor. Laminate is durable, long lasting and easy to care for. While laminate is not ideal for floors below ground level or in the bathroom, any other room in your house - particularly high-traffic areas - would benefit from the beautiful look and amazing durability of laminate. We can install your laminate flooring with minimal disruption to your routine.
